9K a year Steel Project Manager M&S Iron Works is a family owned and operated for over 40 years and a recognized industry leader in the fabrication, design, engineering, and erection of structural steel.
Currently we have an opportunity for a Project Manager with experience in project management for a structural steel fabricator/erector.
Responsibilities:
Develop, track and manage overall project scope, budget, and timeline to ensure projects are delivered on time and under budget Plan and schedule multiple projects and adjust to ensure timetables are met Create and manage project budgets, RFI's, change orders, submittals and communications Assist in the development of cost estimates projects for steel fabrication as required by client's documents Handle pricing and issuing change order requests and negotiating change orders Review construction documents, take-offs and understands scope of work to bid Coordinating with detailer to monitor progress of drawings Identifying, requesting and following up on required information from architects and engineers Manage customer relations to ensure satisfaction Develop and submit a weekly status report on all jobs to President Ensure supplies and equipment are ordered and delivered according to schedule Review and verify material invoices for accuracy Assign billing codes once project is awarded and verify codes with client Working with accounting on job cost estimates and other financial matters Issuing close out documents Job Requirements:
Minimum of 3 years' experience in structural steel required Ability to review specs/plans, take-offs and scope of work Ability to prepare cost estimates, documentation, and submittals Ability to identify changes in scope and manage charge orders Knowledge of relevant legislation and industry practices Must be able to work with Engineers of Record, steel detailers, fabricators, and general contractors Knowledge in building codes and standards in structural steel Ability to constructively participate in negotiations and disputes resolution Must have a proficient understanding of current practices, methods and materials in construction.
Ability to meet the requirements of productivity, quality, customer service and safety.
